Written 10 years ago 2 months after we moved to FL from New York...
This tragedy has occurred, many are losing hope
The pain is over whelming, many are unable to cope
Reality set in, tears begin to rain
Even people in the distant can't escape the pain
Sadness is taking over, Anger fills the heart
Trying to continue life, not knowing where to start
Questions, with answers we can not find
A scramble of emotions cloud the mind
Not knowing where to turn, needing support and care
Trying to stay strong through faith and prayer
Days have passed, it's still hard to believe
Many are still lost, a nation continues to grieve
We are not weakened, bigger and better we'll grow
This country is strong, we the people make it so
